As the name Meridian implies, here is a beautiful furniture design at mid-point between traditional and sleek contemporary--a meeting of East & West. Designed for Drexel by James Bouffard, in richly grained butternut veneers, with accents of highly figured maple burl, finished in a vintage light brown, it is very lightly distressed to blend the old with the new. As you can see in the pictures, there are two large removable Travertine tile pieces--made in Italy--inset in the top, measuring 31" x 16." The buffet is 66" long, 31 3/4" high, and 19 3/8" deep. There are three drawers measuring 21" across, 7" high, and 14" deep. There is a tall, thin compartment which is great for big platters. The closures--which latch securely--are a matte black color. This is such a versatile piece of furniture--with its fusion of cultures--that it works equally well with traditional and modern decor.
